Need a midday pick-me-up, a second win of sorts? Harness the magickal energy of the sun at its highest point during the day to power up your spells and rituals to get you over the midday hump. Whether you have a few minutes or a full hour, here are some magickal midday practices to add some enchantment to your day. Some of my favorite magickal midday practices include an afternoon spiritual shower, intentionally drinking coffee, and a combo of breathing and visualization exercises.
Magickal Midday Practices
Find a sunny spot outside and sit comfortably with your eyes closed. Visualize the warmth and light of the sun filling your body with positive energy, boosting your confidence, and revitalizing your spirit.
Use your lunch break to practice kitchen witchery. Cook with intention, infusing your food with magickal energy and setting an intention for the nourishment it will bring to your body and soul.
Pull out your tarot or oracle deck or app on your phone and do a quick midday reading for guidance and inspiration. Ask the cards a question about your day or your current situation and reflect on the message they reveal to you.
Place your crystals in a sunny spot to soak up the sun’s energy and charge them with positive vibrations. Use them later for healing, protection, or manifestation spells.
Take a walk outside and connect with nature. Observe the plants, animals, and elements around you and reflect on their magickal properties. Collect natural items such as leaves, flowers, or stones to use in your spells and rituals.
Take a moment to express gratitude for the blessings in your life. Write down three things you are thankful for in a gratitude journal, light a candle, and say a prayer of thanks.
Even though it’s not nighttime, you can still gaze at the moon during the day. Find a spot where you can see the moon and reflect on its energy and symbolism. Set an intention for the next lunar phase and visualize your dreams manifesting.
Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to ground and center yourself.
Visualize a beam of golden light flowing down from the sky and surrounding you, filling you with positive energy and confidence.
Repeat the following incantation:
Midday sun, with power and might,
Fill me with strength and clear my sight.
As I move through this day with grace,
Guide me on my path with your divine embrace.
Open your eyes and take a moment to feel the energy coursing through your body.
When you’re ready, thank the universe for its support and go about your day, feeling empowered and energized.
Having a midday practice is a great way to rev up the rest of your day. Like with the magickal morning practices, experiment with the practices and discover which practices resonate with you the most. Remember, this isn’t about making the magical practices a chore where you feel like if you don’t do them then you’re doomed. It’s about incorporating practices that work for you naturally and making them part of your spiritual lifestyle!
