Looking for ways to infuse some magick into your morning routine? Starting the day off with intentional and magickal practices can help you set the tone for a positive and productive day. Every morning, I kickstart my day with a series of practices to set the tone for my day, call in what I desire, and have amazing experiences where things work in my favor. Having a routine magickal morning practice is beneficial because it strengthens your mind to have a healthier mindset, boosts your confidence to make better decisions, and trust your abilities more, among other things.


Magickal Morning Practices 


Morning Meditation

Set aside a few minutes each morning to meditate. This can help you clear your mind, ground your energy, and set your intentions for the day ahead. You can use a guided meditation or simply sit in silence and focus on your breath. Meditation takes multiple forms, so you may want to dance in the morning, spend the morning in silence, or go for a walk while taking deep breaths and watch the sunrise. The key is go to with your intuition.

Tarot or Oracle Card Pull

Pull a card or two from your favorite tarot or oracle deck to gain insight and guidance for the day. Reflect on the messages and see how they resonate with your current situation. For example, while shuffling the deck, say, “Universe, (or whoever you connect with) please provide insight for theme of the day/what should I focus on today/message of the day. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.” Pull a second or third card if you need clarity.

Gratitude Practice

Take a moment to express gratitude for the blessings in your life. This can help shift your focus to a positive mindset and attract more abundance into your day. You can say what you’re grateful for out loud or write it down, either way, may sure that you are feeling what you are grateful for as opposed to saying it just to get it out of the way.

Morning Affirmations

Use positive affirmations to set your intentions and affirm your desires. This can help you stay focused on your goals and manifest the life you want. Powerful morning affirmations include Nikola Tesla’s 369 meditation (there are a few ways to do it), anything with saying “I am x, y, z.”, such as “I am confident and powerful.”, and commanding, such as “Everything works in my favor.”


Herbal Tea or Coffee Ritual

Brew a cup of your favorite herbal tea or coffee and take a few moments to enjoy the flavors and aromas. You can also add in some intention-setting by infusing the tea with specific herbs or crystals, taking a spoon and stirring your drink 3x clockwise to boost the energy of your intention, and taking slow deep sips and breaths to savor your drink.

Candle Magic

Light a candle and focus on its flame. Set your intentions and visualize your desires coming to fruition. You can also incorporate color correspondences or specific herbs into your candle magic.

Nature Connection

Spend some time connecting with nature in the morning. This can be as simple as taking a walk outside or spending a few minutes tending to your plants. Connect with the natural world and allow its energy to invigorate and inspire you.


Morning Spell For A Good Day:


A yellow candle

Sunflower oil

Ground cinnamon

Ground ginger


Begin by anointing the yellow candle with the sunflower oil. As you do so, focus your thoughts on the day ahead and imagine it being filled with positivity and good energy.

Sprinkle the ground cinnamon and ginger onto a plate, and roll the candle in the mixture so that it is coated in the herbs.

Light the candle and take a few deep breaths, focusing your thoughts on your intention for the day.

As the candle burns, visualize yourself moving through your day with ease and grace, and imagine all the positive things that will come your way.

Repeat the following incantation:

Good day ahead, I call you near,

With positivity and love so dear.

May all I do be filled with light,

And may blessings come with ease and might.

Allow the candle to burn down completely, and carry the positive energy with you throughout your day.

You can also just say the incantation. 

Incorporating magickal morning practices into your routine can help you start your day off with intention, focus, and positivity. Experiment with different practices and see which ones resonate with you the most. By infusing magick into your morning, you can create a powerful and transformative daily practice that will eventually become part of your spiritual lifestyle!
