You are the best and there is no one else like you!
This post is based off of my first book, To Be Goddess Every Woman Is A Goddess Discover Your Domain In Which You Reign Supreme. I believe all women are goddesses, yes even your crazy aunt as she is the goddess of chaos, and we need to work towards understanding our goddess nature and gifts. In this post, we will be doing a mirror exercise to help us gain a better understanding of who we are. Also, this exercise is to help us understand that there can be other women who are great at speaking, dressing, or cooking like us but it’s our unique vibe that brings people to us. Think about when you go to the store and there are multiple brands of coffee, bread, and toilet paper. You have a go-to brand. You are someone’s go-to person.
Grab a mirror and look deep into your eyes and follow the instructions below.
- Take 5 deep breaths (5 is the number for change).
- Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
- Close your eyes and count to 10.
- Now, open your eyes, stare into them, and ask yourself what do you truly see.
Think about the following below first and then write about it later:
- Who am I?
- How do I feel?
- What is it that I am feeling?
- When I look deep into my eyes, what do I feel?
- Am I really living my life?
- Why am I here?
- Do I have a better understanding of my purpose?
- What do I have a passion for?
Know that every goddess you come across is a reflection of you in one form or another. The goddess is multifaceted like a diamond, but it’s still one diamond, one spirit. You are one ‘facet’ of the diamond. You can share your domain, meaning that if your realm is the realm of cooking, it doesn’t mean someone else cannot be a great cook. They are just a different cook. By sharing your domain, you’re actually inviting people in your life to share your goodwill! For example, a mother who is a great cook will teach her daughter the family recipes by inviting her in the kitchen and teaching her how to cook.
What are the things you’re great at doing? And, can you collaborate with people who compliment what you do?
In other words, if you teach about maintaining a healthy heart via eating certain foods, is there a cardiologist that can be a guest during your talk who can emphasize more on the importance of having a healthy heart and hereditary issues of the heart?
There are endless benefits from sharing your domain on both a person and a business level. We can share our domain by teaching others traits we learned and working with fellow professionals to achieve the even greater goals, such as what I mentioned above. Below are just a few ways in which sharing your domain is beneficial.
- We learn lessons from each other; thus gaining life experiences.
- We will one day become the mentor.
- We will get to meet people of the same trade/make friends/network.
- We will reap the benefits of the law of giving and receiving.
- We build trust.
- We will feel happy knowing that we helped someone.
- We will feel happy explaining to someone what we do.
- Sharing creates a feeling of abundance.
Also, remember that you never know whose life you may affect your positive attitude. You don’t know what people are going through even if that person is smiling. So, when you have an awarding-sinning attitude as a goddess who cares and is willing to show other the tricks of the trade, it’s awesome!
Because abundance plays a huge role in how you look at yourself in the mirror and how you present your gifts to the world, I channeled a message from the Hindu goddess of abundance Lakshmi to help us get into the mindset of knowing that we welcome and are in the flow of abundance.
Lakshmi’s Decree
Abundance surrounds,
Abundance abound
The gourd of abundance is ever present and never-ending.
Light like a lotus flowing on the water, abundance comes to me like a gentle wave.
I recognize symbols and take action to achieve my goals.
Goddess Lakshmi, let your golden light radiate around me as I absorb it and soak in its goodness.
What I receive in abundance I also give in abundance.
I dance in abundance because I honor the sacredness of the abundance Universe.
