I truly enjoy the simple ritual of savoring my coffee in the morning. The aroma, slow sips, and warmth are a divine delight…Especially that first sip, a smoothing “It’s going to be alright” feeling. That experience is part of my slow morning ritual.
Our mornings set the tone for the day. So why not craft a morning that best works for you? Think about it. If you start your morning thinking about what you don’t want to do for the day, watching the doom and gloom of what happened over night on the morning News, and rushing around because you hit the snooze button too many time, chances are your nervous system is already in fight or flight mode and you feel like you’re running on E before the day started.
However, what if you woke up a little earlier, spend some alone time with yourself, express gratitude, and savor your morning tea while jazz is playing in the background… Chances are things will begin to work in your favor.
This is exactly what I dive into in the latest episode, Slow Morning Rituals, on The Enchantress Society podcast:
- Morning ritual suggestions
- Benefits of having a slow morning ritual
- Crafting practical morning rituals that fit into your schedule
You deserve to have a slow morning ritual that nurtures your soul.
Your description of enjoying each sip of coffee, and that “it’s going to be alright” feeling, are both relatable in my own life. I wake up early each morning to do my own slow morning rituals. Because (as you aptly point out in this post) how we start our day, is how we will likely go through it, how we will live it. Great post.
Thank you. Here’s to more delightful slow mornings!
