Just like the previous blog post, Full & New Moon Dates 2021, you’ll want to bookmark this post too! This year has 4 eclipses, 2 solar eclipses, and 2 lunar eclipses. The eclipses add a little extra sauce to the energetic celestial mix of energy that impacts us. Let’s get into it!
Also, make sure to subscribe to The Spiritual & Empowerment Living With Tia for the Tia Scope episodes where I talk about each full and new moon as well as the eclipses. I discuss the energies that are happening, why we feel the way we do, actions to take, and sometimes I give a reading for that moon or eclipse phase.
What’s An Eclipse?
An eclipse takes place when one heavenly body such as a moon or planet moves into the shadow of another heavenly body.
What’s A Solar Eclipses?
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets between Earth and the sun, and the moon casts a shadow over Earth. A solar eclipse can only take place at the phase of the new moon when the moon passes directly between the sun and Earth and its shadows fall upon Earth’s surface.
What’s A Lunar Eclipses?
A lunar eclipse is when the Earth comes between the sun and the moon, resulting in the sunlight being blocked from the moon. There are two kinds of lunar eclipses: A total lunar and partial eclipse. Think Sun-Earth-Moon.
What’s A Total Eclipse?
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the moon and sun are on opposite sides of Earth. Think Sun-Earth-Moon.
What’s An Annular Eclipse?
An annular solar eclipse occurs as the new moon moves in front of the Sun but does not cover the Sun’s disk completely.
What’s A Partial Eclipse?
A partial lunar eclipse happens when only part of Earth’s shadow covers the Moon.
Can I Cast A Spell/ Collect Rainwater On The Day Of An Eclipse?
The quick answer is Yes, but err on the side of caution as the energy during that time is heighten even more and can be chaotic. You want to take into account things such as if it’s taking place during a retrograde and the zodiac sign it’s in. With that being expressed, you can do spells the day before and after the day of an eclipse.
